![]() Eloise, you must having something to do, she thinks to herself, eyes scanning the vicinity to see who, if there was anyone, she could sit with until she figured out a better plan. Where did a princess have to be when classes were cancelled? She didn’t know. She has her books tucked close to her chest, textbook and notebooks and school notes weighing her down as she dashes from her class towards, well, towards where, she wasn’t sure. Then it occurred to him that he doesn’t have a pet goldfish, making him change his mind about the whole dying thing. “On second thought,” He began, sitting up from where he’s being an obstacle in the track. “Can you carry me to the infirmary? I want a pet goldfish” ![]() His mind wonder on to the people he’ll be leaving if he does die today, specially his pet goldfish. He proceeds to make incoherent noises, faking his inability to breathe as he recites some lines from a popular piece of literature written by Shakespeare. ![]() “Just leave me here to die.” He says dramatically, shielding his eyes from the harsh rays of the sun. As he expected, it’s a failure of an attempt. He doesn’t have the energy to point this out, however, thus why he kept himself from saying anything, deciding to use what’s left of his will to be pulled up by Alexis. She could have broken her nose, sprained her ankle, dislocated a knee from the impact, or even ate dirt and since none of those happened, Elijah stripped off her rights to complain. The scenario he had in mind didn’t involve the girl falling face first on the track, but hey, it could’ve been worse. With a hand on the ground, she forces herself to sit up, eyeing the male plastered comfortably on the dirty ground. “How come you’re still here and not at the hospital yet.” she asks, pouting and then holding his hand to drag him, still lying down. “I would have thought you fainted by now.” “You-” she starts, kicking at the hand wrapped around her ankle when she finally notices what it was - who it was. “That hurt!” she says next, rubbing a hand on her cheek and smudging the dirt on her skin even more. She struggles to turn around, ready to scream because what if it was an alien tentacle wrapped around her with the intent of feeding on her healthy body. Only to fall flat on her face, ankle throbbing and lately realizing the flesh wrapped around it. Blinking, she sees something obstructing the path and she automatically moves to the side, not taking enough time to glance on what it is as she speeds past it. She’s pacing enough to last her throughout the run, noticing she’s already halfway through the first lap. She waves and throws a few hellos at her fellow track mates, grinning even if she’s already huffing. The sun isn’t so high up yet and the she’s grateful for that, not wanting to melt because of the sun’s heat. Her legs stretches out automatically when the second whistle is finally blown, wind embracing her within the first few steps she’s made and ponytail whipping at her back. Her attention spikes into focus when the first whistle comes up, sleep pushed to the farthest part of her mind as she waits for the second whistle to start the run. It’s cooler than how it is, mostly because she’s already sweating from the warm-ups she did before the actual lap. Still yawning, Alexis trudges forward, smiling absentmindedly when the cool air hits her skin.
